John Franciosa, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 21, 2024. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Pasqual and Maria (Marcantonio) Franciosa and the husband of Lucy (Montalbo) Franciosa, who he married on May 3, 1958.

John graduated from Niagara Falls High School and then went on to work at International Paper Co., then Great Lakes Carbon, for many years before retirement. He was an active sportsman, and became a member of the Niagara Falls Sportsman Hall of Fame. He was active with the Knights of Columbus, Italian Sons & Daughters of America Cataract and Volare Lodges in Niagara Falls, NY, and Moose of Wellsville, NY.

In addition to his beloved wife, John is survived by his son, Pat (Liz) Franciosa, and daughter, Teresa (Jim) D'Arcy; 3 grandchildren, John (Heather) Franciosa, Jared (Hannah) Franciosa, and Jacob Franciosa, and 1 great-grandchild, Carson Franciosa.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Gerardo Franciosa.
