John R. LaPorta, 33 of North Tonawanda, NY passed away on Friday January 16, 2015. Born in Lewiston, NY he is the son of Angelo J. and Joan A. (Remaley) LaPorta of North Tonawanda, NY. John was a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda. He graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1999, and afterwards Niagara County Community College. John's passion in life was music and playing the keyboard. He was also a sports enthusiast.

In addition to his parents, John is survived by his sister, Paulette A. (Steven) Ziff of East Amherst, NY, two nephews, Jacob Ziff and Ryan Ziff, his grandmother, Mary A. Remaley of North Tonawanda, NY as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 – 7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 20th at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers are graciously declined. If desired, memorial offerings in memory of John, may be made to a charity of one's choice.
