John N. Maroon, 57, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Thursday December 22, 2011, one day before his 58th birthday, at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of John J. Maroon of Olean, NY, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY and the late Margaret (Agnello) Maroon.


John attended Niagara Falls High School and Trott Vocational High School. He worked as an assistant manager at Arby's and prior to that worked at Beverly Lanes, both in Niagara Falls, NY. John was a person who loved life and socializing with people, and he especially enjoyed volunteering at the C.P. Recreation Group; an organization that was founded by his father, John. He was also an avid bowler and enjoyed working with and fixing electronics.


In addition to his father, John is survived by two children, Joy Lynne Miller and John Maroon Jr.; two sisters Linda Maroon of Iola, KS and Deborah (late Dennis) Leavitt of Olean, NY; and aunts nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Visitation will be held Friday, January 20th from 6 – 8PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD. NIAGARA FALLS, NY where a prayer service will immediately follow at 8PM. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
