John Negast, 53, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Jacob 'Jack' and Elizabeth (Havrilak) Negast.

John was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. He attended local schools and graduated from the former LaSalle Senior High School. He was employed by Washington Mills in Niagara Falls, NY and also as a salesman at Muck Motors. John was a longtime member of Prince of Peace Church where he also served as an usher. He was an exceptional racquetball player who competed at a very high level and succeeded at winning many local and regional tournaments. John's greatest pleasure was spending time with his family and friends.

John is survived by one daughter Ashley Negast of North Tonawanda, NY; two sisters Jackie (Cary) Freeman and Patricia 'Patty' (John) Lysiak; his nieces and nephews Leanna (Andy) Chapman, Ryan, Elizabeth (Jon) Insinna, Mikey, Mathew, Lauren, Johnny and Jacob; a great niece Gracie and a great nephew Lincoln. He was predeceased by one sister Lisa Brenon.

Visitation will be from 4 – 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 17th at the
M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. with Fr. Jeff Nowak officiating.
