Johnny O
John F. Odrzywolski, 59, of the Town of Niagara, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late John and Stella (Bugay) Ordzywolski.
Johnny O, as he was known to everyone, was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. He graduated from the former Bishop Duffy High School in 1973 and later from Niagara University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree. He was employed at the Heliport on Goat Island and the Comfort Inn, where he received the employee of the year twice, both in Niagara Falls. He was also employed at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport in Buffalo, NY.
Johnny O was a history buff especially in war history, aviation, bio-genetics and technology. He was always involved in the bi-annual Duffy dances and served loyally as a roadee to the Beginnings and Everyday People bands that regularly performed at the dances. Johnny O was also affectionately known as Uncle John to his friends' children. In his leisure time, he enjoyed cooking and watching old movies.
Johnny O is survived by several cousins and numerous friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Sunday, December 7th at 3:30 p.m. at Niagara Catholic High School, 520 66th Street, Niagara Falls, NY.
