John Passalacqua, 82, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Rochester, NY, he was the son of the late Richard and Felicia (Calabro) Passalacqua.

John moved to Niagara Falls as a child and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. He honorably served in the United States Army before earning his Bachelor's degree from Niagara University. On September 30, 1967, he married the love of his life, Michele (Falsetti) Passalacqua, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niagara Falls. Together, they raised their son, John R. Passalacqua, and later relocated to Charlotte, NC, where they lived for over 20 years.

While in Charlotte, John was employed for many years in Information Technology with Time Warner Cable. After returning to Western New York, he and his family resided in Lewiston and cherished the time spent together above all else. He and Michele endured the heartbreaking loss of their beloved son, John R., in 2023 following his courageous 17‑year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

In addition to his wife of 58 years, Michele, John is survived by his sister, Frances (late John) Mazzocchi, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Candida (late Raymond) Gueli.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 23 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. John's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 24 at 10:00 AM in St. Peter's Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY 14092, with military honors.
