Obituary
John Clarence Priest died on July 28, 2011. Born September 27, 1923 in Piqua, Ohio. He was the son of Mary Elizabeth Nitzel and Walter Scott Priest.
John attended Piqua public schools and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1950. Mr. Priest was a medical corpsman in the U.S. Army in World War II and served on the first hospital ship at Omaha Beach on D-Day, June 6, 1944. He married Mary Ellen Oliver in Chillicothe, Ohio, on February 24, 1952, and was employed by the Del-Monte Sales Company for thirty years.
Mr. Priest is survived by his wife Mary Ellen, of Lewiston, NY; two sons, John (Lynne) Priest of Cincinnati, Ohio and Joseph (Pamela) Priest of Lewiston; and two grandchildren, John and Angelica Priest also of Lewiston.
Interment in Grandview Cemetery, Chillicothe, Ohio. Local arrangements by M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.
