John 'Howie' Rowcroft, 75, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late John and Marjorie (Neudeck) Rowcroft; and the loving husband of Melissa (Adams) Rowcroft, who he married on July 24, 2004.

Howie was a graduate of Bishop Duffy High School and obtained his Bachelor's degree from Parsons College. He also proudly served in the United States National Guard until his honorable discharge.

Howie was employed at Tops Friendly Markets on Niagara Falls Boulevard for 19 years as a Receiver until his retirement. In his earlier years, he worked at the former Slipko's, Twin Fair and Super Duper.

As an avid Buffalo Bills fan, Howie was a dedicated season ticket holder since 1975.  He also enjoyed playing basketball, as well as rooting for the New York Yankees and listening to his favorite artist, Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Howie loved being outdoors and tending to his lawn. He also loved spending time on cruises and vacations with family and friends. Above all, Howie devoted and centered his life around his family, who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his wife, Melissa, Mr. Rowcroft is survived by his beloved children, Jon 'Jay' (Ericka) Rowcroft, Michael Rowcroft, Andrea (Kevin) Thornton and Jessica (Mike) Hoy; his cherished grandchildren, Angel, Alaynah, Raistlin, Abby, Rhiannon, Amelia, Zachary and Kevin Jr.; two siblings, Cindy (Craig) Freeman and Mary (Gene) Govern; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 29 from 3 – 7 P.M. at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY , where funeral services will follow at 7 P.M. In honor of Howie, please feel free to wear Buffalo Bills attire during the services.
