John Tartaglia, 69, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Guiseppe and Michelina (Ruzzi) Tartaglia.

John graduated from Trott Vocational High School and attended Ohio Technical College. He moved to Houston, TX, where he married his beloved wife, Marilynn (Delaney) Tartaglia on November 27, 1978.

John was employed as a Chemical Operator at Rexene Corp. in Houston, TX prior to retiring in 1982.  Following his retirement, John and Marilynn moved back to Niagara Falls to be closer to their family.

John was an avid sportsman and loved the Buffalo Bills. He also loved going to the Casino, as well as playing on his computer. Above all, John centered his life around his family, especially his beloved grandson, Connor.

John was sadly predeceased by his wife, Marilynn, on December 20, 2017. He is survived by his daughter, Denise Best; one grandson, Connor Best; three siblings, Mary (Dan) Gift, Anna Tartaglia and Rosenne (Robert) Colpoys; one sister-in-law, Janet (late Donald) Delaney; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 18 from 5 – 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. John's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM in the Sacred Heart Villa Chapel, 5269 Lewiston Road, Lewiston, NY 14092.
