John R. Viccica, 64, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away at his residence on March 10, 2025. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph R. and May V. (Taylor) Viccica.
John was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. He served proudly in the United States Marine Corps from 1981 until his discharge in 1983. John was employed for 8 years as a Welder at John Deere in Welland, ON, Canada. He later worked as a Kiln Operator at TAM Ceramics in Niagara Falls, NY for over 5 years.
John was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed playing baseball and was a fervent fan of the New York Yankees. John also loved listening to music, especially the Allman Brothers. He loved socializing with friends over an ice-cold Labatt Blue in the sun. John was independent and bold, always shooting it to you straight.
John is survived by his children, Christopher (Emily) Viccica, Katie (fiancé Jordon Boyko) Viccica, and Nicole Viccica (Bryson Baker); his siblings, James 'Jimmy' Viccica and Joanne (Timothy) O'Toole; his aunt, Carmella (late Patsy) Venditti, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. He was sadly predeceased by his son, Nicholas Viccica, and his brothers, Joseph Viccica, Jr., Jerry Viccica, and Jeffrey Viccica.
There will be no prior visitation. A Celebration of John's Life will be held for family and friends at a later date.
