John Walaszek, 73, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on December 11, 2021 at N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Edward and Sophie (Jakubowski) Walaszek; and the beloved husband of Catherine L. (Nudo) Walaszek whom he married on May 7, 1983 in Mt. Carmel Church.

John attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. He owned and operated JW Home Improvements where he specialized in flooring for many years. He also formerly worked as a stagehand at Art Park and other local venues.

John was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as tending to his garden and boat. He also loved spending time with his friends at Tim Hortons. Above all, John cherished the times he spent with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of 38 years, John is survived by his children, Jennifer (Jesse) Clyde, Nicollette (Joseph, Jr.) Kempa and Christina Rea; his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jaxon, Joseph III, Kailey, Rowan and his great-grandchildren; siblings, Sylvia (late Paul) Pierini, Marlene (late Jack) Adamczyk and Kenneth (Rhonda) Walaszek; his father-in-law Louis (late Josephine) Nudo; and his cherished sister-in-law, Vincenette (late Richard) Nudo Frazier. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
