Johnina "Nina" C. Gagliano, 73, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Saltcoats, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Georgina (Bigham) Laughlan.

Nina, as she was affectionately known to everyone, came to Niagara Falls, NY in 1954. In 1962 she graduated from Niagara Falls High School and later earned her Associate's Degree from Niagara County Community College in 1994. On June 26, 1976, she married Michael J. Gagliano at Fort Drum, NY and spent 40 wonderful years together until his passing on October 7, 2016.

Nina was employed at the former Mills Jewelers for thirty years and also at the Niagara Gazette for over seventeen years until her retirement in 2013. She was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and in her leisure time, she enjoyed reading, especially Stephen King novels. Nina also loved attending various local festivals but most of all her greatest pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren and her dogs Monty and Mickey.

Nina is survived by four daughters Wendy (William) Ferro, Michele (Robert) Gardner, Georgina (Michael Horne) Clarkston and Stacey (Richard) Stachewicz; nine grandchildren William, Ashley (Jonathan), Erica (Derek), Nichole, Adrienne, Angelo (Kavita), Allison, Cameron and Andrew; one great grandson Nicholas; one brother George Laughlan, two sisters Marion (Bob) Feather and Janette (Bob) Hendricks and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by five brothers John Laughlan, Efram "Alfie" (Beverly) Laughlan, William "Billy" Laughlan, James (Margaret) Laughlan, Arthur (Pam) Laughlan and two sisters Sarah "Sadie" (George) Cairns and Cathy (Harry) McCart.

Visitation will be on Friday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at the
M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4th at 11 a.m. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
