Jonas D. Greene, 49, of Tuscarora Nation, moved on to be with the Creator on Thursday, September 25, 2014. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Sherman, Sr. and Grace (Beaver) Greene and stepson of the late Chief David "Manny" Patterson of the Tuscarora Nation.

Jonas was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. He worked at Randy's Smoke Shop on the Tuscarora Nation Reservation. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially liked hunting, fishing, and also enjoyed football, lacrosse and boxing. While in high school, he was a member of the wrestling team.

Jonas is survived by his wife Mary (Hill) Greene, three daughters Cierra, Breannah and Laurie Grace; several cousins and many dear friends. He was predeceased by one brother Sherman A. Greene, Jr. and one sister Laura J. Beaver.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at the
M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday September 29th at 11 a.m. at the Tuscarora Indian Mission Church, 5035 Walmore Rd., Sanborn, NY with Rev. Donald Robinson officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
