Jonathan A. Sanford, 60, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, at Buffalo General Hospital. Born in Albion, NY, he was the son of Lyman F. and Amy E. (Smith) Sanford.

Jonathan graduated from Medina High School and went on to earn his Associate's degree in Graphic Arts from Genesee County Community College.

Jonathan married the love of his life, Debra A. (Rossi) Sanford, on August 27, 2005. He was a proud father and grandfather, whose greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

Jonathan currently served as Operations Manager at Matrix Imaging in Sanborn, NY. He was a talented graphic designer who also loved being a handyman, always finding fulfillment in projects around the house.

A man of deep faith, Jonathan found comfort and inspiration in reading, especially the Bible. He was also a longtime Freemason, serving with pride in the Somerset Lodge #0639 in Middleport, NY.

In addition to his wife, Debra, and his parents, Lyman and Amy, Jonathan is survived his children, Briana (Matthew) Seim, Brittany (Frank) Valente, Brooke (Leighton) Temple, and their son, Theodore Oliver Temple; his siblings, Karen Soria and Edward Sanford, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jonathan was sadly predeceased by his brother, Frank Sanford.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 30 from 4 – 7 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 1 at 10:30 AM.
