Jose M. Hewitt 59,  passed away unexpectedly on April 12 ^th , 2017.  Born on July 7 ^th , 1957, he was the son of the late Everett N. and Marial  (Jacobs) Hewitt Sr.. Jose was the father of Joseph A. Hewitt and David M.  Hewitt;   grandfather of Aiden Hewitt and the late Caila Lynn Hewitt;  brother of Kathleen M. (Hewitt) Tracy, Everett N. "Sonny" "Knuckles" (Pamela A. Coder) Hewitt, Jr., and Arlene T. Hewitt; father figure and uncle to Vallissa C. Lawson and Cory G. Hewitt. He was also survived by his former wife, Donna M. Harman, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.

Jose was employed with Modern Disposal Waste Services in Model City, NY as a machine operator, Anderson Electric in Niagara Falls, NY in delivery and at the Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagara Falls, NY in valet and security.

Jose was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also liked playing bingo, family cookouts and his favorite dessert, pies.  Jose loved a variety of music including Blues and traditional Native American music. Above all, he enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends.

Jose was a loving father, grandfather, relative and friend who died a hero trying to protect his fellow man from danger and will be sadly missed by all. Although his body will be laid to rest, his life and memories will live on forever within those who loved him.
