Joseph Antonucci, 90, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Tony and Rose (Colosi) Antonucci.

Joe was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force. He went on to build a distinguished career as a Chemical Engineer with Praxair, where he worked for more than 35 years. His work took him around the world, and he embraced every opportunity with dedication and joy.

A man of many passions, Joe lived life fully. He earned his pilot’s license and owned and operated his own aircraft, finding freedom and exhilaration in the skies. He also enjoyed scuba diving and was a longtime member of the LaSalle Sportsman’s Club. Above all, Joe cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandson and “partner in crime”, Matthew, who was like the son he never had.

Mr. Antonucci is survived by his daughter, Darleen (Richard) Rodriguez; his grandchildren, Michael (Dominika) Rodriguez, Shannon (David) Knight and Matthew (Michelle) Donovan; three great-grandchildren, Max Rodriguez, Zackary Knight and Riley Knight, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four siblings.

The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Brookdale Assisted Living, as well as Jeannie's house at Northgate Manor for their loving care and compassion.

In accordance to Mr. Antonucci’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY, will take place privately by his family. Arrangements by M.J.
