Joseph C. Agnello, age 89, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends under the care of Hospice after a brief illness. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Charles J. and Josephine (Mancuso) Agnello.

Joseph attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1949.  He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1951 until his Honorable discharge in 1952.  On September 19 ^th , 1959 he married Concetta "Connie" (Schepisi) Agnello in St. Mary of the Cataract Church, Niagara Falls.  Joseph worked in the Electrical Metallurgical Research Department at Union Carbide for five years.  He then went on to work as Chief Operator for the Niagara Falls Water Plant for 32 years retiring in December 1991.

Joseph was a member of the Niagara Travel and Social Club and the John Duke Senior Center.   He enjoyed woodworking, photography and reading.  Most of all Joseph loved being with his family.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 60 years, Connie; his children, Charles J. (Wendy) Agnello, Joseph (Melinda) Agnello and Maria (Anthony) Falbo; three grandchildren, Kara Ann, Thomas and Jae; two step-grandchildren, Tyler and Kara Lee; his sister Jean (late Patrick) Conte, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, March 15th from 4 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Joseph's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 9:30 AM in St. Christopher Church, 2660 Niagara Falls Blvd, Tonawanda, NY 14150.  Everyone please assemble at church.   Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph's memory may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr, Lockport, NY 14094.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
