Joseph 'Joe' P. Cacciatore, 61, of Lockport, NY, passed away at his residence on Saturday May 14, 2011. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Petrina (Bongiovanni) Cacciatore.
Joe was an award winning athlete and graduate of Niagara Falls High School, where he excelled in track, swimming, wrestling, and the martial arts. He was a member of the National Honor Society and pursued his higher education at Letourneau University, Longview Texas in the engineering field. Joe was the recipient of far too many accolades to mention in the course of his career.
Joe continued his love of sport and competition in the game of polo for 15 years. Of all competitive sports, playing polo was his most loved. He also enjoyed trail riding, especially the camaraderie. He was very proud of his family, his grandchildren, and his heritage, and always had time to lend an ear to those who had a story to tell.
