NIAGARA FALLS — Joseph A. Catanzaro, 50 years old, passed away on March 25, 2015 at his home in Niagara Falls. He was born on April 10, 1964 in Niagara Falls, the son of Thomas and Dolores (Jaroszewski) Catanzaro.
Joe was a graduate of the early Niagara Falls High School, previously located near the center of Niagara Falls. Also, Joe was an owner and operator of Envoy Liquors in downtown Niagara Falls. And, he was a manager of Pepie's Plum Supper Club, the front-desk at Envoy Motor Inn, and the Niagara Falls Parking Lot; all in downtown Niagara Falls.
Joe had a personality that everybody liked, and he enjoyed being with his family and friends. Also, he enjoyed flying sea panes with his father, trap shooting, pistol shooting, repairing wooden boats, driving sports cars, riding dirt bikes, his pet Doberman Pinscher, boating, fishing, playing cards, and other hobbies. His family and friends are at a loss, and they will miss him very much.
Joe is survived by his parents Thomas and Dolores (Jaroszewski) Catanzaro; and his brother Nicholas (Michelle) Catanzaro of Niagara Falls and their son Nicholas; and, his brother Thomas Catanzaro Jr. of Wilson. Also, he is survived by his Uncle Vincent Catanzaro of Niagara Falls and his daughter Veronica; his Aunt Dorothy (Jaroszewski) Sargeant of Lewiston and her children Jeff, Cathy, and Maureen; and, his Aunt Janette (Catanzaro) Palumbo of Lewiston and her children Leonard and David. In addition, he is predeceased by his Aunt Rosalie (Catanzaro) Leone and her husband Joseph Leone of Lewiston, and their surviving children Lisa, Joseph, Jimmy, and John; and, his Uncle Leonard Palumbo of Lewiston.
He will be with us forever. Visitation, FOR FAMILY MEMBERS ONLY, will be held on Monday, April 6th from 4-7 PM at the M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for family and friends on Tuesday, April 7th, at 12 Noon at St. Mary of the Cataract R.C. Parish, 259 4th St, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
