Joseph "Jerry" G. Critelli, 73, of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away on August 14 ^th , 2017. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Jennie Ida (Elia) Critelli.

Jerry was raised in Niagara Falls, where he graduated from Niagara Falls High School. He later obtained his Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Buffalo State College in Education. In 1968, he began his career teaching for the North Tonawanda School District as a science instructor until his retirement in 1996. Jerry was a mentor to his students and truly loved teaching. In his leisure time he enjoyed golfing, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Joseph is survived by his brother, Edward (Janice) Critelli, one nephew, Paul Critelli and several cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 -8 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday August 18 ^th at 12 Noon at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH.  Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
