Joseph A. "Joey" Kilmer, 19, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Tuesday June 15, 2010 at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, NY. Born in Buffalo, NY he was the son of Mark J. Kilmer of Niagara Falls, NY and Virginia J. (Martino) Bower also of Niagara Falls, NY and step son of David J. Bower, N.F.P.D.

Joey was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. He attended local schools including the former St. Joseph Elementary School, St. Dominic's Middle School and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 2009. He was currently employed as a mechanic and welder at National Maintenance Corp. in Niagara Falls, NY. In his younger years, Joey served as an altar boy at Prince of Peace Church in Niagara Falls and had a passion for hockey which he played through the various divisions in the Grand Niagara Hockey League. More recently he enjoyed mechanics and working on cars and trucks. An avid outdoorsman, he liked spending time at his family's cabin in Belmont, NY and archery hunting for deer and turkey hunting. But most of all, Joey's life was centered on his family especially his fiancé and son.

In addition to his parents, Joey is survived by his son Joseph Mark Kilmer, 7 months old, his fiancé Stephanie Clark of Niagara Falls, NY; one brother Carmen G. Kilmer of Niagara Falls, NY; one sister Giona A. Kilmer of Niagara Falls,NY; his maternal grandparents Angelo (Millie) Martino of Niagara Falls, NY; his paternal grandparents Carol (late George) Kilmer of Niagara Falls, NY; his step brothers Michael C. Bower and Daniel T. Bower both of Niagara Falls, NY; his fiancé's parents Robert and Denise Clark of Niagara Falls, NY and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday June 18th at 10 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary & Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S. officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
