Joseph A. Maurer, 42, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday October 14, 2013. Born in Lewiston, NY he was the son of Carl D. Maurer of Niagara Falls, NY and the late Beverly A. Welch.

Joseph attended local schools and formerly worked as a sanitary engineer at Modern Disposal Company in Lewiston, NY. He enjoyed fishing and most importantly spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his father, Joseph is survived by his brother, Carl D. (Linda) Maurer, Jr. of Niagara Falls, NY; his nephews, Justin and Jeremy ; his paternal aunts and uncles, Carol (Ralph) Skirlin, Richard (Terri) Maurer, Gerald (Michelle) Maurer; his maternal aunts and uncles, Kathy (Robert) Miliken, and Cindy McNamara, and many great aunts and great uncles.
