Joseph J. Pasquantino, 82, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Emil and Elizabeth (Metro) Pasquantino.
Joseph was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. He graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1951 and on June 19, 1954 he married Virginia H. (Pietkiewicz) Pasquantino at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Niagara Falls. Joseph was employed as a lab technician for forty years at Oldbury Chemical Co., later known as Hooker and Occidental Chemical Co. and retired as a shift supervisor in 1990. He also worked at the Niagara Falls Country Club in Lewiston as a golf club associate assistant for twenty-five years and later at the River Oaks Golf Course on Grand Island. Joseph was an avid golfer and enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and gardening.
In addition to his wife of sixty-two years, Joseph is survived by two children Elizabeth 'Betty' Foster of Niagara Falls and Joseph J. Pasquantino, Jr. of Connecticut; one granddaughter Christine (Jeff) Zawislak of Las Vegas, NV; one brother John (Cathy) Pasquantino of Youngstown and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be on Friday from 3 – 7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Saturday November 5th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers are graciously declined.
