Joseph Pulito, 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family members, on Wednesday, June 7
th
, 2017 at DeGraff Skilled Nursing Facility in North Tonwanda, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Mateo and Amelia Pulito.
Joseph attended local schools including the former Trott Vocational High School. On September 6, 1954, he married his loving wife, Connie (Garritano) Pulito, at St. Joseph Church. Joe was employed for over 34 years at the former Union Carbide as a foreman until his retirement. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling. Above all, he enjoyed visiting and spending time with his dear family and friends.
In addition to his wife of 62 years, Joseph is survived by his children, Joseph Pulito, Judith (William) Fields, John Pulito and James Pulito; two grandchildren, Diane Manzini and Laura Fields; siblings, John (late Eleanor) Polito, Mary Jones and Jean (late William H.) Whisker, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Pulito was predeceased by three siblings, Robert (late Violet) Castiglione, Irene (late Frank) Mannarino and Fred Castiglione.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11
th
from 2 – 6 P.M. at the M.J. Colucci
& Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will begin on Monday at 9:15 A.M., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Parkway, Amherst, NY 14228
