Joseph A. Pulli, 91 of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Monday June 27th, 2011 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born on September 22, 1919 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Antonio and Rose (Trapasso) Pulli. On November 21, 1945 he married Josephine A. (Zafuto) Pulli at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Niagara Falls, NY.

Joseph was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools including the former Trott Vocational and Niagara Falls High Schools. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the 4th Armored Division and the 621st Q.M. Depot Co. 7th Army from May 12, 1941 until his honorable discharge on October 12, 1945. During that time he attained the rank of T-4 and T-5. He served in the Ardennes, Central Europe, Northern France, the Rhineland and was involved in the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the American Defense Service Medal, the European-African Middle East Service Medal with 4 Battle Stars and the Good Conduct Medal. After his discharge he worked at Union Carbide until 1952, the Niagara Junction Railroad and in 1956 he became employed by the City of Niagara Falls, NY until his retirement in 1982 after 26 years of service.

Joseph also enjoyed gardening, working crossword puzzles and taking vacations to Las Vegas, NV.

In addition to his wife of sixty-five Mr. Pulli is survived by two sons, Mark A. (Christine) Pulli of Rochester, NY and Anthony J. (Janice) Pulli of Niagara Falls, NY; five grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, two step-grandsons, three great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by one brother Salvatore Pulli.

There will be no prior visitation. Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Mt.
