Joseph Anthony "Tony" Arnone, 87, of Lewiston, NY and formerly of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Sunday, October 15th, 2017 at his residence. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Steve and Augustine (Mancuso) Arnone.

Joseph attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1949. In 1951, he enlisted into the U.S. Air Force until his honorable discharge in 1952. On May 2, 1964, he married his loving wife, Janice E. (Price) Arnone, at the former Our Lady of Rosary Church. Mrs. Arnone predeceased him on June 26, 2010.

During the 1950's, Tony was employed by Kimberly Clark Corporation in the shipping department, and later as a fire brick mason from 1963 to 1982 at Great Lakes Carbon. He also was employed at Frontier State Parks in maintenance from 1984 to 1995, and lastly retired from the Green Thumb Program in 2003.

Joseph was a former member of Prince of Peace Church, Bricklayers Local #2, I.S.D.A Cataract Lodge #240, Gill Creek Athletic Club, and the Embassy Club in Niagara Falls. Joseph was a proud, eleven-gallon blood donor, and also enjoyed reading, playing cards and horse races.

Mr. Arnone is survived by his children, Stephen A. (Tammy) Arnone, Joseph B. (Karen) Dixson, E. Barry (Kris) Dixson, Cherie L. Dixson, Tina (Michael) Baker and the late Debra (Alan) Tjaden; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and was predeceased by his granddaughter Tonia L. Dixson. He is also survived by his siblings, Jeanette Criminisi and Frank Arnone.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 19 ^th from 2-4 and 6-9 pm at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Friday at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Prince of Peace Church at 10 AM. Entombment with Military Honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.
