Josephine Bango, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 22, 2020 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born on June 9, 1928 in Puerto Rico, she was the beloved daughter of the late Lewis and Natalia Gonzalez.

Josephine met her husband, David Bango in New York City while he was attending Art School. They were married in New York City and later moved to Niagara Falls, NY. She was an avid bingo player and also enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Bango is survived by two children, Miriam Bango and John Bango (Anne Carroll); and was predeceased by her daughter, Louise (Thomas) Scalzo and her husband, David. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Peter Mangual and Thomas Scalzo, Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Damian and Carter; one brother, Roberto Gonzalez, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 27 from 10 – 1 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
