Josephine (Tullo) Conti, 84, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Giulia (Farace) Tullo.

A lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY, Josephine attended local schools and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School. On June 6, 1953 she married Umberto 'Chuck' Conti at Sacred Heart Church in Niagara Falls. She and her husband owned and operated Conti's Grocery Store on 9th Street and Ferry Avenue in Niagara Falls for several years. Prior to that she worked at Moore Business Forms also in Niagara Falls. Josephine was a member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America (I.S.D.A.) Power City Lodge, the John Duke and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Senior Societies and the Women's Guild at the former Our Lady of the Rosary Parish all in Niagara Falls, NY. She also exercised at the Cardio Rehab Program at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Josephine was very family oriented and was an excellent baker and cook. Josephine was a UNYTS (Upstate New York Transplant Services) Donor.

In addition to her husband of fifty eight years, Josephine is survived by four children Judy Conti of Niagara Falls, NY; Elena (Peter) Conti-Blatto of Buffalo, NY; Joanne (Chuck) Teixeira of the Town of Niagara and Joseph (Erika) Conti of Lewiston, NY; six grandchildren Gabrielle, Lauren, Anna, Andrew, Gianna and Nicholas; one sister Angeline (late Joseph) Zito and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 – 7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Everyone is invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday January 16th at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S. officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Flowers are gratefully declined.
