Josephine Lallo, 102, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on August 10th, 2023 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY.  Born April 8th, 1921, in Termini Imerese, Sicily, Italy, the eldest of 4 children, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Angelina (Alaimo) Merlino, a farmer and a homemaker. On September 6th,1952, she married Louis Lallo at St. Anne's Church, in Niagara Falls, Ontario.  Mr. Lallo predeceased her on April 2nd, 1996.

Josephine was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, crocheting and family dinners. Most of all, Josephine loved being surrounded by her family. She credited her longevity to her eternal love for her family and her strong faith in God.

Josephine is survived by her beloved daughters, Judy (Joseph) Sosnowski and Angela Woodley; her cherished grandchildren, Christina (Daniel Jr.) McGovern, Katy Sosnowski, Michael Sosnowski, John Woodley II, and Jamie Woodley; her great-grandsons, Daniel McGovern III and Mack McGovern; her sister, Rose (late John) Baglieri, her former son-in-law, John Woodley, as well as by many nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her husband of 43 years, she was predeceased by her siblings, Peter (late Antoinette) Merlino and Anna (late Tony) Milano.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the wonderful doctors, nurses, aides and staff at Niagara Hospice House for their exceptional care given to Josephine during her time there.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 14th from 10 – 11 AM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin at 11:15 AM followed by Josephine's Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.
