Josephine (Ciraolo) Magliarditi, 71, of Lewiston, NY died peacefully on Sunday September 23, 2012 at her residence under the loving care of her family and Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Josephine (Gallina) Ciraolo.

Josephine attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. In 1960 she married Joseph Magliarditi at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. She worked as a beautician and was also a founding partner of Ciraolo Sisters, a family business that sold specialty sauces and breads at the City Market. Josephine enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing Scrabble, and poker. But her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Josephine is survived by two children Peter Magliarditi of Niagara Falls, NY and Maria Certo (Tim) of California, four grandchildren Amanda (Andres), Alisa (Kevin), Basil (Rachel) and Jessica (Matt), an ex daughter-in-law Betsy (Kenny) Eagan, three sisters Freda (late William) Corsaro of Sanborn, NY; Mary (late Hank) Corsaro and Elaine (late Joe) Marra of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers Sam (late Grace) Ciraolo, Freddy (late Mary) Ciraolo and one sister Janette (late Dick) Laurri.

There will be no prior visitation. Private funeral services and interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY will be held at the convenience of the family.
