Josephine V. Piccirillo, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on July 7 ^th , 2018 at O.L.P Nursing Care Residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Jamesville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria A. (Piccolo) Bono.

Josephine was raised in Syracuse where she attended local schools. On July 12, 1947, she married the love of her life, Alfonso "Funzi" Piccirillo at St. Peter's Italian Catholic Church and moved to Niagara Falls. They spent 57 years of marriage together until his passing on July 18, 2004.

Mrs. Piccirillo was a devout Catholic and faithful member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niagara Falls. She was also a longtime member of the Legion of Mary. Josephine loved her family and dedicated her life to them. She was an excellent cook, baker and seamstress. She was also a meticulous housekeeper.

Josephine will be remembered as a loving and gentile woman who always greeted you with her beautiful smile.

Mrs. Piccirillo is survived by her loving children, Carol (Gregory) Case, Alfonso (Marsha) Piccirillo, Mary Jo (Thomas) Rose and Joseph Piccirillo; her beloved grandchildren, Jennifer (Rick) Zimmerman, Gregory Case, Aaron F. (Sarah) Piccirillo, Seth A. (Kelly) Piccirillo, Joseph (Damaris) Piccirillo and Nicholas (Victoria) Piccirillo; her cherished great-grandchildren, Dominic and Anna Romanini, Annabelle, Emilia, Tessa, Nola, and Luciano Piccirillo, JJ and David Ransom, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Elisabeth "Betty" Perra, Rose Smarrelli and Nicholas Bono; and her niece, Lucy Perra.

The family would like to thank the staff of 1 West and 3 West at O.L.P Nursing Care Residence for the loving and compassionate care Josephine received during her time there.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3 – 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will begin on Thursday, July 12 ^th at 10:15 A.M., followed by Josephine's Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. in Holy Family Parish at Mt. Carmel Church, 27 ^th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls. Entombment will follow in Riverdale Cemetery. Memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
