Josephine "Pippy" (DiLaura) Pietrowski, 95, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on February 11, 2016 at Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Loretta (Latona) DiLaura, immigrants of Sicily, Italy.

Josephine was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls. She attended local schools and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School. Pippy, as she was affectionately known began her employment at the former Ambassador Leather in Niagara Falls. She went on to work at Niagara University for thirty five years until her retirement. She was a longtime devoted member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church as well as their Altar and Rosary Society. In her leisure time she enjoyed gardening but most of all, Pippy's greatest pleasure was spending time with her family.

Josephine was predeceased by her husband Marion 'Mike' Pietrowski in April 1989. She is survived by three children, Patricia (Anthony) Colasino, Judith(Ross) Olfano both of Las Vegas, NV and John (Pat) Pietrowski of Tampa, FL; six grandchildren, Kelly (Jim) Dunning, Kara (Ernie) Capiral, Michelle (Phil) Christopher, Deanna (Dr. Edward) Marra, Rebecca (Thad) Harris and Noelle (Brian) Greene; seven great-grandchildren Jessica and Dominic Lujan, Elizabeth Adams, Edward Marra, Noah Harris, John Henry and Josephine Greene; her honorary grandchildren Leah and Jenna Dobrasz; one sister, Rose (late David) Rotella of Niagara Falls, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins as well as her special caregivers, Michael and Dorothy Rotella, Helen Blose, Pat and Brenda Murray, Marjorie Rotella, Louise Azzinaro and Lori Cipolla. She was predeceased by six siblings, Sam DiLaura, Mike DiLaura, Frank DiLaura, Joe DiLaura, Jack DiLaura and Lena Salacuse.

Visitation will be Friday May 6th 4-7 pm at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday May 7th at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph's Church 1413 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls. PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
