Josephine Renda, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Cicerone) Frattaroli.

A 1953 graduate of Niagara Falls High School, Josephine built a life grounded in faith, family, and the traditions of her strong Italian heritage. In 1985, she married her beloved husband, Joseph F. Renda, at St. George’s Church. They spent 31 memorable years together until his passing in 2016.

Josephine was employed by New York State Parks for many years, retiring as an administrative assistant. A devoted Catholic, Josephine lived her faith with quiet strength. She loved to travel, enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, and was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres. She was also a passionate bocce player and bowler and was known as an excellent baker. Josephine will be remembered for her quick wit, perfectly timed one-liners, and the laughter she brought to every gathering.

Above all, family was everything to Josephine. She treasured her role as a grandma and “Gigi,” finding her greatest joy in the milestones of her growing family.

Josephine is the devoted mother of Dana (Ken) Zuber; loving grandma of Lauren (Tom) Andres and Jacob (Erin) Zuber and the cherished Gigi to Nora Jo, Willow and Adelyn Andres. She is also survived by several dear nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband, Josephine was predeceased by her siblings Mary (late Frank) Lipiano, Lena (late Edward) Edukonis, Caroline Frattaroli, Anthony (late Ethel) Frattaroli, Louis (late Ramona) Frattaroli and Nick (late Emma) Frattaroli.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 8 from 11 – 12 Noon at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 12 Noon.
