Julia (Paonessa) Guzzi, 85, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on March 2, 2011 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Maria (Trapasso) Paonessa.

Julia was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. On March 14, 1959 she married Thomas Guzzi at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Julia was employed as a manager at the former Neisner's Department Store in Niagara Falls, NY. She enjoyed traveling, baking and cooking but most of all, Julia enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband of fifty one years, Mrs. Guzzi is survived by her sister Joan Wilson of Niagara Falls, NY and nephew Jeffrey Paonessa.

Visitation will be held on Saturday March 5th from 8:30 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where services will begin at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay O.S.F.S. officiating. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
