June (Losell) Clayton, 79, died on August 6, 2011. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Lester and Thelma Losell.
June was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She attended local schools and graduated from the Cosmetology Program of the former Trott Vocational High School. One May 24, 1953 she married Daniel Clayton in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Clayton predeceased her on December 10, 2000. June was a volunteer for the Blind Association of Western New York and a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Association Chapter 120. She was an avid bowler and member of the Women's International Bowling Congress. June also enjoyed china painting and ceramics which she taught at various senior centers in the 1980's.
June is survived by two daughters Sandy Siskey of Niagara Falls, NY and Diane (George) Montes of the Town of Niagara, thirteen grandchildren Melissa (Ray) Gervais, Reta (Tim) Shepard, Mike Scopak, Samuel Siskey, Jeffrey (Danielle) Schoonover, Rebekah (Rory) Siskey, William (Katie) Perna, Kevin Clayton, Kathleen Kuhns, Carrie Clayton, Dennis (Alanna) Siskey, Jessica Clayton and Felicia Clayton, thirteen great grandchildren, one great grandchild expected in September,, her longtime companion William Wilson.
Visitation will be on Thursday August 11th from 3 – 7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY concluding with a service at 7 p.m. At the request of Mrs. Clayton her body has been donated to the Anatomical Program of the University of Buffalo for medical research.
