Karen M. Stephens, 62, of Mesquite, TX, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on May 13, 2022 at McCurtin Memorial Hospital in Idabel, OK.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Vera (Leverette) Stephens.

Karen attended Bryant & Stratton College and Buffalo State College.    In 2000, she married James Butler.  Mr. Butler predeceased her.  Karen was employed as a Military Civilian Contractor.  Most recently, she was self-employed with Key Remodeling.  She enjoyed gardening, driving sports cars, and traveling.

Karen is survived by her children, Stephanie (Courtney) Daniels and Steven D. Hicks, II; 11 grandchildren, Daquan Hicks, Jaerode Seright, Nijah Cox, Ra'jah Johnson, Keyarrah Hicks, Kyra Hicks, Steven Hicks III, Sariah Hicks, Saniah Hicks, Samone Hicks, and Aiden Hicks; 5 great grandchildren, Namariah Lucas, Juels Seright, Jay'zier Seiright, Jay'lonni Seright, and Jream Seiright; her siblings, Deborah Collier, George (Elaine) Stephens, David (Denise) Stephens, Mark (Karen) Stephens, Letitia Stephens, and Lafayette Lewis, her companion, William Reyes as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
