Karolyn A. (DiJoseph) Marchetti, 79, of Lewiston, NY passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Schoellkopf Healthcare Facility in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Phyllis (Janese) DiJoseph.

Karolyn was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On June 4, 1955 she married Robert L. Marchetti at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Marchetti predeceased her on October 14, 2005. Karolyn was employed by Harrison Radiator in Lockport, NY for eighteen years until she retired in 1993. She was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and enjoyed traveling, going to the casino and Bingo. Karolyn remained very independent up until the present time needing very little assistance from others. Karolyn's greatest pleasure was spending time with her grandchildren.

Karolyn is survived by three daughters Janelle (James) Marchetti-Josey of Lewiston, NY; Kara (Marshall) Hibbard of Youngstown, NY and Suzanne (Anthony) Paretto of Niagara Falls, NY; five grandchildren Hailey, Anthony, Michael, Kaitlyn and Sydney and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister Dorothy Allen and one brother Stephen DiJoseph.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday January 12th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S. officiating. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
