Katherine (Destino) Grizanti, 90, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY died on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 in Mease Countryside Hospital in Stacy Harbor, FL. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Maria (Giuliano) Destino.

Katherine attended local schools. On July 27, 1940 she married Sebastian Grizanti and was predeceased by Mr. Grizanti on July 11, 1994. Kay relocated to Clearwater, FL in 1983 where she lived until the present time. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Grizanti is survived by two brothers and three sisters Alex (late Ann) Destino, Rose (late Anthony) Figurilli, Mary (late Thomas) Mastromatteo all of Niagara Falls, NY; Patsy (Betty) Destino and Susan (late Frank) Salimbene both of Lewiston and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friend Tony Rocco. She was predeceased by four brothers and one sister Nunzio (Margaret of Lewiston, NY) Destino, James (Carmella of Niagara Falls, NY) Destino, Antoinette (Salvatore of Niagara Falls, NY) Rizzo, Louis (Maryann of Lewiston, NY) Destino and Joseph (Michelina 'Mickey' of California) Destino.

Friends may call on Sunday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday February 23st at 12 Noon in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane Klizek,officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
