Katherine E. (Feder) Metro, 62, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Saturday February 6, 2010 at N. F. Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Harold W. and Florence (Driscoll) Feder.

Kathy was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. On August 30, 1973 she married Nicholas Metro Jr. in Lewiston, NY. She was employed at Frontier Lanes in Lewiston, NY and prior to that she worked at Cozy Corners Restaurant and Sherwood Packaging both in Niagara Falls, NY. Kathy actively supported the Whirlpool Park Little League and was a member of the Greater Niagara Ballet Company, both in Niagara Falls, NY. In her leisure time she enjoyed knitting, Bingo, going to the casino, and playing Billiards. She also liked bowling and participated in local leagues but most of all her life was centered on her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Katherine is survived by three children Wendy K. (Mike) Mayflower of Niagara Falls, NY; James C. Metro of Atlanta, GA; Jennifer T. Metro of Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by one son Nicholas Metro III. She is also survived by eight grandchildren James, Hayley, Alec, Luke, Alissa, Haley, Dominic and Miranda, one brother Dr. William H. (Beverley) Feder of Niagara Falls, NY; one sister Maryann (late Bill) Westlund of Florida, her father-in-law Nicholas "Nick" (late Lilla "Lily") Metro of Niagara Falls, NY and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Saturday February 13th from 3 – 6 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where services will follow with Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 or to a charity of one's choice.
