Obituary

Kenneth A. Offerbeck, 45, of the Town of Niagara, died on Tuesday December 27, 2011 at his residence, surrounded by his wife April, and family. Born in Olean, NY he was the son of James Offerbeck and Shirley (Booth) Steinmetz.

Kenneth graduated from Springville High School and later earned an Associate's Degree from Niagara County Community College in Sanborn, NY. He served in the U.S. Air Force from October 6, 1987 until his honorable discharge on February 20, 1990. On May 30, 2009 he married April (Booker) Offerbeck at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Sanborn, NY. Ken was employed as a designer draftsman at the New York State Power Authority in Niagara Falls, NY for ten years. Ken was a member of the LaSalle Sportsmans Club in the Town of Niagara. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife and parents, Ken is survived by one daughter Mackenzie Offerbeck; three step daughters Lindsie Gray, Jessica Gray and Kimberley Gray, two sisters Beth (Robert) McCabe and Amy Wiedemann, his mother-in-law Johanna Pawlukovich; his father-in-law John (Carol) Booker, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by two brothers Brian Offerbeck and Dale Offerbeck.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 1 – 4 and 6 – 9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where services will be held on Friday December 30th at 10:15 a.m. followed by a funeral service with Military Honors at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY.
