Kevin J. Imerese, 36, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on August 14, 2024 at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY after a long and courageous battle with Juvenile Diabetes.  Born in Denver, CO, he was the son of Gerald C. (Linda) Imerese and the late Laura M. (Paterson) Imerese.

Kevin came back to the Lewiston area as a child with his family, and was a graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School. A profoundly religious individual, Kevin worked at Stella Niagara alongside his mother, with whom he shared a special bond, selling religious books under the direction of the late Fr. John Graden, OSFS.  He enjoyed building Legos, spending time on the computer, and loved listening to music.  A special memory he shared with his father was an Eagles concert that they attended together in Toronto.  A selfless person, Kevin was a member of the Juvenile Diabetes Association, and was an advocate for finding a cure and helping others that were afflicted like him with this debilitating condition.

Kevin had a very nice smile that would light up the room – he was a kind and gentle soul that was liked by all that had the chance to know him.  He also had a quirky sense of humor, and enjoyed making others laugh.  Above all, Kevin deeply loved his family, especially his nephews, Christian and Nico.

In addition to his father and step-mother, Kevin is survived by his siblings, Eric P. Imerese and Ashley E. (Michael, NFPD) Maio, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  In addition to his beloved mother who preceded him in death on June 7, 2018, Kevin was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Jack and Elizabeth Paterson, and paternal grandparents, Stephen and Mona Imerese, as well as by several cousins.

Kevin generously donated his body to the University of Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program as his last act of selflessness. Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 20, from 3 – 5 PM at M.J.
