Kevin Alvin Parker Gainey's sunrise began on February 16, 1983.  Kevin was the eighth child born to Charles Johnson and Lorraine Parker-Johnson. Kevin was blessed with eight biological sisters, Shelina, Robin, Ulina, Regina, Denine, Jovan, Christina and Lorretta and two brothers, Charles and Donnell. Kevin was a bright and caring individual who enjoyed bringing joy and laughter to those around him. He was a talented artist and his artwork touched all that had the privilege to see it.

Kevin was also a poet and enjoyed writing and drawing all throughout his life. Kevin's captivating personality allowed him to be loved by anyone that came to know him. He will always be remembered for his smile that gave others hope and his willingness to always help those in need.

When Kevin was still a young child, his contagious love gained him additional adoration, love and affection from his adopted mother, Lucy Gainey and he was again blessed with more siblings, Valerie, Vicky, Quran, Philp and Ariff. Kevin Alvin Parker Gainey's sun set on September 13, 2022.

Although his sun has set here, the light from his life will continue to shine on those of us left behind. This includes his son, Kevin Alvin Gainey, Jr., all his siblings, his many nieces, nephews, family and all the friends he has met on his journey through life. We are all at peace knowing that he is now and will forever be with our Lord and our Savior and his loving parents, Lorraine, Charles and Lucy.
