Obituary
Kimball Jones Patterson, 59, of the Tuscarora Indian Reservation passed away suddenly on Monday, June 6, 2011. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, Kimball attended Niagara Wheatfield Senior High School and in 1973 graduated from Niagara University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics.
He was employed as an iron worker through Iron Workers Local Union 9 in Niagara Falls, NY. He also served as an apprentice instructor and retired in July 2004 after thirty-one years of service. Kimball was an avid sportsman and had a passion for lacrosse, which he played while attending Niagara University. He was also a member of the Kenmore Lacrosse Club, and the Niagara Falls Hawks and Saint Catherine's lacrosse teams. He began coaching lacrosse at Niagara University, and coached and traveled worldwide with the Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse team. Kimball had a passion for and excelled at fishing, hunting and golfing. He was a member of the Niagara Frontier Golf Club, where he was Senior Men's Champion. Following in his Father's footsteps, Kimball had also recently begun developing his own vineyard, which he named Iroquois Ridge Estates.
Kimball was the son of the late Gary Patterson. He is survived by his mother Elma (Jones) Patterson, his father-in-law Dom Pullano, and his wife Maria (Pullano) Patterson of Lewiston, NY; one sister Kyle Patterson of Lewiston, NY; three nieces Amanda Cross, Kara Cross, and Christina Pullano; one nephew Forrest Cross; three great-nieces Kayla, Kylie, and Ellie Rose, two great-nephews Tristan and Isaak; and several cousins.
Visitation will be held Thursday June 9th from 9:00AM to 11:00AM at the Tuscarora Indian Mission, Walmore Rd, Tuscarora Reservation where funeral services will follow at 11:00AM. Burial will be held in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Tuscarora Reservation, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Patterson's memory can be made to American Heart Association, P.O.
