Kurt M. Villani, 72, of Grand Island, NY, passed away on August 6, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. Kurt was the son of the late Guido J. and Lorraine (Burns) Villani, born in Niagara Falls, NY on March 26, 1950.
Kurt was a graduate of LaSalle High School, and joined the Army National Guard. On December 20, 1969, he married Gail A. (Zaleski) Villani. He operated Gui's Lumber/Ace Hardware with his wife, Gail since the mid 1980's. Along with his wife and children, the business has grown to 7 locations throughout Western New York. Kurt enjoyed boating and cars, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his family, especially his 4 grandchildren that he liked to refer to as "his little buddies."
In addition to his wife of 52 years, Kurt is survived by his son, Kurt P. (Monica) Villani, daughter Amie (Rob) Ceccato; 4 grandchildren, Mia Villani, Kurt P. Villani, Jr., Anthony Ceccato, and Joseph Ceccato, his siblings, Robert R. (Sandee) Villani, Larry J. (Bonnie) Villani, James M. (Judy) Villani, Lorraine (late Nicholas) Pullano, and Elaina (Patrick) Stoness; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his family at Gui's Lumber.
Kurt's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 13 at 11 AM at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, 2100 Baseline Road, Grand Island, NY 14072. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the Niagara Falls Boys' and Girls' Club, 725 17th St, Niagara Falls, NY 14301 or to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, https://wish.org/ .
