Lanice J. Ford, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Louis H. and Mary (Lapp) Florer.

Lanice attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.  She began working at Moore Business Forms and was employed as a receptionist for over 25 years at Family Practice Center for Dr. Melvin Dyster.  Lanice later retired from Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

In her leisure time, Lanice enjoyed playing bingo, bowling and completing crossword puzzles.  She was an avid reader; in particular a mystery aficionado, and took great pleasure in being an excellent cook.  In later years, she was also the caregiver to her mother during a lengthy illness.

Above all, Lanice will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

Lanice is survived by her children, John (Stacey) Ford, Lynne (Anthony) Mauro, Janice (Richard) Maslen; three grandchildren, Dr. Theresa (Jesse) Costales, Ross Mauro and Richard Maslen III; one great-grandchild, Tahlia Costales; three siblings, Louis (Irene) Florer, Mary Ellen (late Anthony) Sperduti, Laurel (Robert) Reasinger, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 11th from 3 – 7 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, where funeral services will be followed at 7:00 P.M.
