Larry W. Whitenight, 84, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Leonard and Jeanette (Wagner) Whitenight and the devoted husband of the late Peggy L. (Salchow) Whitenight.

Raised in Niagara Falls, Larry attended local schools and attended Trott Vocational High School. In 1960, he proudly enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea until his honorable discharge in 1962. He was employed by General Motors in Tonawanda, NY, for 20 years before transferring to their plant in Defiance, OH, where he completed his dedicated career with the company. Larry remained active following his retirement, working at Walmart for an additional 20 years.

He had a passion for fishing, tending to his garden, and exemplified an excellent work ethic throughout his life. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family.

Larry is survived by his children, Michelle (Mark) Dixon, Stephen (Lisa) Jackson, Robert Jackson, David Whitenight, and Brian (Debra) Whitenight; several beloved grandchildren; three siblings, Leonard (late Phyllis) Whitenight, Shirley Klender, and Bonnie (late Larry) Lackas; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by four siblings: Carol Whitenight, Robert Whitenight, Jack (late Evelyn) Whitenight, and Judy Lanasa.

Private funeral services, Military honors, and interment in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery in Lewiston, NY, were held for Larry's family.
