Laura A. (Muscarella) Mangione, 96 of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday May 21, 2011 at Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Mt. Morris, NY, she was the daughter of the late Gandolfo and Josephine (LaBarbera) Muscarella.

Laura was raised and educated in Mt. Morris. On November 7, 1931, she married Casper I. 'Red' Mangione, and moved to the Niagara Falls area. Laura and her husband made their home in Niagara Falls until moving back to Mt. Morris in 1971. She and her husband later returned to Niagara Falls in the mid 1990's where she has lived until the present time. Mr. Mangione predeceased her on April 14, 2002. Laura was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls. She took great pride in being a homemaker and was a terrific
baker and cook.

Mrs. Mangione is survived by her two sons, Gus (Sandra) Mangione of Niagara Falls, NY and Randy (Pat DeRosa) Mangione of Webster, NY, six grandchildren, Anthony Mangione, Gina (late Mark) Bax, Michael Mangione Michele (Robert) Bruno, Maria Mangione and Joseph (Lisa) Mangione, 13 great-grandchildren, one sister Connie (late Peter) Leone of Avon, NY, one brother, Joseph (Rose) Muscarella of Mt. Morris, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Charles (Evelyn of CA) Muscarella, Patsy (late Anne) Muscarella and Sam Muscarella.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday May 25th at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church 1413 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY.
