Laurie Chudy, 55, of Sanborn, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the loving daughter of Lewis "Bud" and Lucy (Greco) Moore.
Laurie graduated from Niagara-Wheatfield High School and obtained her Associate's Degree from Palm Beach State College in Florida. On September 5, 1998, she married her beloved husband, Mark Chudy. They were both longtime members of St. Leo's Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagle's in Sanborn. NY.
Laurie was most recently employed at David Chevrolet as an office controller for many years and also worked at other local car dealerships in the area. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling, as well as playing volleyball growing up. Above all, Laurie's life centered around her family. She especially enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Laurie is survived by her children, Kevin (Marissa) Krzyzan and Eric Chudy; her step-children, Brian (Elizabeth) Krzyzan, Michael (Michelle) Chudy, Jennifer (Richard) Bure and Holly (Michael) McClintock; her grandchildren, Savannah and Maxwell Krzyzan, Liam and Nora Chudy, Richie Chudy, Brian, Savannah and Caleb McClintock. She was predeceased by three grandchildren, Reagan Chudy and Michael, Jr. and Michael III McClintock. Laurie is also survived by her siblings, William (Kathleen) Moore, Michael (Linda) Moore, John (Sandy) Moore and Karen (John) Eagan; nieces and nephews, Brett (Jennie) Moore, Julia Moore, Kasey (Stephen) Turcol, Brady Moore, Amanda (Keven) Ellsworth, Christopher Ellsworth, Samantha Moore, Joe Moore, Derek Cobb and Andrew Cobb; great-nieces, Margaret Finley Moore and Capri Ellsworth; and many loving cousins and countless friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 21st from 3 – 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. in St. Vincent de Paul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2739 Military Road, Niagara Falls. Everyone please assemble at church. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society Food Pantry.
