Lawrence Michael DePasquale Sr., 79, died Sunday January 6, 2013 at the Rowland Convalescent Home in West Covina, California. Mr. DePasquale was born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 1, 1933 to the late Daniel DePasquale Sr. and Angelina (LeBernardo) DePasquale.
Lawrence leaves behind his three sons, Lawrence (Lynnett) Depasquale Jr. of Columbia, SC, Glenn DePasquale Sr. of Westport, Ct, James (Amy) DePasquale of Norwalk, CT; three siblings, Daniel (Trudie) DePasquale Jr. of Norfolk, NE. John DePasquale Sr., Barbara (late Russell) Murgia both of Niagara Falls, NY. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Glenn DePasquale Jr., Lauren DePasquale, Laura (David) (DePasquale) Stewart, Julia DePasquale and Jenna, DePasquale; one great grandchild, Skarlet Montalvo as well as many nieces and nephews. Lawrence is predeceased by his two brothers Richard (Patricia) DePasquale and David (Adele) DePasquale as well as his beautiful baby daughter, Angela Marie.
Born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY, Mr. DePasquale was one of six children. After graduating Niagara Falls High School in 1951, he like many of his brothers joined the Army and served in the Korean War until his Honorable Discharge. After his service to his country, Larry Served in the Army Reserves for many years while he worked at Great Lakes Carbon Corp. He then went into the construction and home improvement industry in Niagara Falls, NY, then ultimately moved to California where he worked in the trades for most of his life.
Mr. DePasquale enjoyed reading, painting, bowling and dancing. He received many medals, ribbons and accolades in the competitive dancing throughout his senior years.
Visitation will be held on Saturday January 19th from 10 – 12 Noon at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will follow at 12 Noon with Rev. Robert Stolinski officiating. Lawrence will be laid to rest with his loving parents and daughter in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY with Military Honors.
