Lena J. Gobbo, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on January 29, 2021 at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in Niagara Falls, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Andrea and Phyllis (Petrillo) LaMorticella.

On July 10, 1948, Lena married Louis Gobbo at St. Joseph Church, with whom she enjoyed 72 years of marriage.  Lena was employed as a cleaner with the Niagara Falls Board of Education for 30 years.  Lena enjoyed watching gameshows and QVC.  She enjoyed shopping, gardening, and was a meticulous organizer and cleaner.  She will be remembered for her generosity, her strong faith, and her love of her family's history.  Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially the many Sunday pasta meals they shared.

In addition to her husband, Lena is survived by her daughters, Phyllis (late James) Porebski and Theresa (William) Muth; her grandchildren, Sherry (Wayne) DeGeorge, Dennis Porebski, Denise (Todd) Karski, Michael (Kara) Muth and Joel (Paulette) Muth; seven great grandchildren, Natalie Karski, Lauren Karski, Eleni DeGeorge, Ryan DeGeorge, Reece DeGeorge, Annabelle Brown and Milania Muth, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her siblings, Palma (late Andy) Anderson, Rose LaMorticella, Frank LaMorticella, and Fifi (late Angelo) Fracassi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4 from 10 – 11 AM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where prayers will begin at 11 AM followed by Lena's Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM at St. John de LaSalle Catholic Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.  Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Niagara Falls Firefighters Christmas Toy Fund, P.O.
